Information We Collect

We collect account information such as name, email address, guardian details (when applicable), academic progress data, assessment results, tutoring interactions, and limited device information necessary for secure access.

Academic data is used solely to personalize learning, improve performance tracking, and support program matching.

Data Security

We implement industry-standard security practices including encryption in transit, secure data storage, and controlled access systems.

Access to sensitive data is restricted and monitored to prevent unauthorized use.

Data Deletion & Account Control

Users may request account deletion at any time. Guardians may delete student accounts they manage.

Upon deletion request, associated personal data will be permanently removed in accordance with applicable legal requirements.

Children's Privacy & COPPA

We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). For students under 13, a parent or legal guardian must create and manage the account.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without verified parental consent.

Cookies & Tracking

Pursue uses only essential cookies required for secure operation of the platform. These include session authentication and CSRF protection.

We do not use cookies for advertising, behavioral tracking, or third-party marketing analytics.

School Matching & Lead Verification

For services such as program discovery and matching, users may voluntarily opt in to share information with selected colleges, trade schools, or certification programs.

Information is shared only with institutions explicitly selected by the student or guardian.

To protect against fraud and ensure compliance, we may use verification services such as Jornaya LeadID. These services may use limited technical validation mechanisms solely for fraud prevention and regulatory compliance.

Participation in school matching is optional. No data is shared without explicit user action.
